Quake jolts southern region of Azerbaijan

An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale was recorded this morning in Jalilabad, a southern region of Azerbaijan, the Republican Seismological Service Center reported.
The earthquake that took place at the depth of 28 kilometers hit the district at 11:01:03 [local time]. The quake's epicenter was 19 kilometers north-west of Jalilalabad.
Tremors were not felt.
Azerbaijan is located in seismically active zone. Currently, more than 35 seismic stations are established in Azerbaijan with the leading station in the Academic Town of Baku. The stations are connected to the satellite system.
