CEC submits November 1 election results to Constitutional Court

The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan has made a decision to submit the documents on the results of the November 1 parliamentary elections to the country's Constitutional Court.
At a meeting on November 18, the CEC determined the results of checking the protocols and attached documents, as well as draw up a report on the results of election.
Then the CEC members approved the protocol on the election results and decided to submit the protocols of the district election commissions and attached documents to the Constitutional Court for final check and approval of the election results.
The election for the 5th convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament was held on November 1.
This year, 767 candidates struggled for seats in the supreme legislative body. Some 27 of the winning candidates are new, while the remaining 98 members were re-elected to the parliament.
The CEC announced the results of the voting at the Azerbaijani parliamentary election on November 2.
The voter turnout at the election was high enough, reaching 55.7 percent. Over 2.89 million voters cast their ballots during the election, which is 6 percent more than in the previous election.
