President receives World Scout Committee delegation
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received Chairman of the World Scout Committee Joao Armando Goncalves and Secretary General Scott Teare on September 30, AzerTac state news agency reported.
Noting that Azerbaijan's hosting the 41st conference and 13th World Scout Youth Forum of World Scout Committee in 2017 is of great importance for the organization, Teare said that the events would bring together more than 1,000 representatives from 150 countries.
President Aliyev underlined the importance of the decision to hold the 41st conference and 13th World Scout Youth Forum of World Scout Committee in Azerbaijan.
The president expressed hope that holding such an important global event in Azerbaijan would create a good opportunity in terms of further promoting the country, adding Azerbaijan has excellently organized a number of international events.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the decision made by the majority of votes to hold the next conference and the 13th World Scout Youth Forum for the first time in the Eurasian region in Azerbaijan in 2017, noting these events will be excellently organized.
