Rescued Azerbaijanis from Nepal arrive in Baku

An Azerbaijani Be-200CS aircraft sent to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens from Nepal following a strong earthquake on April 25 successfully made it back home.
Azerbaijan’s Emergency Situations Ministry sent humanitarian aid
including one ton of medicine, medical supplies, tents, blankets
and packaged drinking water to Nepal on April 29, where a powerful
earthquake of 7.8 magnitude claimed the lives of an estimated 6,204
people.
Some 13 Azerbaijani citizens, including six children and four
Georgian citizens were evacuated from the disaster zone.
The plane arrived at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku on May 1.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani embassy in India confirmed that one Azerbaijani child had been slightly injured during the quake. Doctors estimated his condition to be stable.
More than 30 countries including Israel, Spain and the U.S rescued their citizens from Nepal where they were stranded.
Nepal was again shaken by a series of aftershocks on April 26. The strongest wave hit at magnitude of 6.7 temblor.
