Bulgaria hails developing ties with Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan-Bulgaria relations are developing day by day, said
Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumiana Bachvarova as she met
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Sofia Emil Karimov.
Bachvarova praised the development of bilateral ties between the
two countries in political, economic and other spheres, adding that
she would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding ties between
the two countries, including ministries of internal affairs.
Karimov hailed the expansion of relations between the two countries in all areas.
He also stressed the importance of reciprocal visits of the two countries` officials in terms of strengthening these ties, AzerTac state news agency reported.
The diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in June, 1992. The embassy of Bulgaria in Azerbaijan was opened in December 1999.
For the nine months of 2014 the trade turnover between them amounted to $123 million, according to the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee.
