Malta’s PM arrives in Baku
A governmental delegation of Malta led by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat will discuss the issue of long-term gas supplies for the new power plant with Azerbaijani officials.
The prime minister arrived in Baku on December 15 night, the Azerbaijani government told Trend.
The prime minister was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov and other officials at the international airport of Heydar Aliyev.
“A government delegation will be heading to Baku for meetings with the President and Prime Minister of the country in a bid to secure a long-term gas supply for the new power station,” Muscat said before his departure, timesofmalta reports.
He said that the visit to Azerbaijan would help Malta secure better strategic gas deals for the future.
