Azerbaijan, Finland eye cooperation in education, culture
The ways to develop relations between Azerbaijan and Finland, as well as expand cooperation in educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres were mulled as Azerbaijani ambassador to Finland Adish Mammadov has met State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Culture Kari Anttila.
Mammadov highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements in the fields of education and culture, especially "Transforming black gold into human capital" strategy, AzerTag state news agency reported.
He noted that the Azerbaijani universities enjoyed close relations with world leading Higher Schools, adding the establishment of such relations with Finnish universities would be fruitful for both sides.
Touching upon the cultural relations, Mammadov spoke of Azerbaijan`s ancient history, rich culture, art and literature.
The diplomat said the Azerbaijani government decided to hold the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Finland for the further development of cultural relations between the two countries.
Kari Anttila, in turn, noted that Azerbaijan was a friendly country for Finland. The state secretary also praised development processes in Azerbaijan.
