Kuwaiti delegation studies co-op areas in Azerbaijan

A delegation led by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Corporate Services Directorate of the Kuwait Oil Company, Ismail Abdulla, has visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA.

The Kuwaiti delegation met Director of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Nazim Ismayilov and Director of AIDA Ashraf Shikhaliyev as part of the visit),AzerTag state news agency reported.

The meetings featured discussions on Azerbaijan's experience in mine clearing and clean-up, as well as restoration of oil-polluted areas.

The delegation also held meetings at Azerbaijan's state energy giant SOCAR and the Research Institute for Geotechnological Problems of Oil, Gas and Chemistry of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy.

Azerbaijan and Kuwait established diplomatic relations on October 10, 1994 with Azerbaijan opening an embassy in Al-Kuwait in 2004 and Kuwait opening an embassy in Baku in 2006.
