Azerbaijan, Iran mull bilateral ties
Azerbaijani Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov has met Iranian Ambassador to the country Mohsen Pak Ayeen, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Mammadov noted that the two countries enjoyed friendly and fruitful cooperation, and lauded national leader Heydar Aliyev's key role in expanding these relations.
The minister said the regular visits of officials of both countries, including President Ilham Aliyev's recent official visit to Iran 9 and signing important documents gave an impetus to strengthening the bilateral ties.
He also praised development of the legal relations and close cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries.
The ambassador, in turn, said bilateral relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran had been developing successfully.
Pak Ayeen also praised the visit of the Azerbaijani President to Iran as fruitful.
