Azerbaijan ready to exchange experience with Zimbabwe: envoy

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Zimbabwe Elkhan Polukhov handed over his credentials to Zimbabwean President Robert Gabriel Mugabe on April 3.
Polukhov said he was happy to be the first ambassador of Azerbaijan in Zimbabwe, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The envoy noted he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the Azerbaijan-Zimbabwe ties during his tenure.
The diplomat conveyed greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to President Mugabe.
Polukhov further said Azerbaijan became the regional leader in a short period of time after regaining its independence.
The ambassador expressed Azerbaijan's readiness to exchange experience with Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwean president asked Polukhov to deliver his greetings to President Aliyev. He expressed hope that the bilateral ties between the two countries would continue to develop even further.
