BakuTel 2013, the largest telecommunication and IT exhibition in the Caspian region, will open at the Baku Expo Center on December 2.

The 19th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technology Exhibition (BakuTel) will host several prestigious events on December 2-5.

A number of ICT events have been organized this year in Azerbaijan, a country with a developing ICT sector. 2013 was declared the Year of ICT in the country.

Bakutel has become the most important platform for the display of achievements in the high-tech sector. Due to the ICT year, the organizers plan to present many exciting surprises to celebrate this important event, one of which will be incredible "Titan the Robot".

Titan is an over 2 meter high robot that excites an audience at first sight, first terrifying, as this massive moving robot is also talking, but after a few minutes everyone falls in love with him and wants to come close and touch him.

Titan has traveled around the world from Tokyo to Vancouver, being a guest at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix and taking part in the presentations of the most prominent companies and brands.

Titan even performed live on tour with Rihanna, the worldwide superstar, and was introduced to famous celebrities like Will Smith, Jackie Chan, Robert Downey Jr, Adam Sandler, Katy Perry, Steve Carell, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Chris Rock and Taylor Swift.

Titan also famous for his acting skills appeared in "Real Steel" and visited the premiere together with Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy.

The robot is a frequent guest at "Daybreak morning" TV show in the United Kingdom, has made many TV appearances on "The Gadget Show" with presenter Pollyanna Woodward and has also been seen on the BBC.

Titan the Robot is waiting to meet the exhibitors and visitors to the Bakutel exhibition on December 2-4 at Baku Expo Center.

BakuTel-2013 Exhibition and Conference is officially supported by Azerbaijan's ICT Ministry, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations, Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), Azerbaijani National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations, and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).

Traditional sections of BakuTel exhibition, which has been held annually since 1995, include telecommunications and networks, broadband communications and technologies, cable and wireless communication, satellite communications and technologies, broadcasting equipment and technologies, software and automation systems, IT and office technologies, security systems, banking technologies and services, e-government, and e-education.
