CMO, Red Cross mull issues of mutual interest
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade received representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Azerbaijan Denise Duran on October 30 upon her request, CMO spokesperson Rahima Dadashova told Trend.
Duran said that she sees Pashazade's activity as a religious leader on the release of the captives.
She went on to say that she is also informed about the activity of the CMO chairman on release of some captives on the basis of an agreement with the Armenian Catholicos at the beginning of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and expressed gratitude to Sheikh ul-Islam in this regard.
Duran expressed hope that Pashazade will continue to participate in the trilateral meetings of religious leaders, Dadashova said.
