President Aliyev visits several regions

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the country`s southern Sabirabad region on August 29.
The President started his visit by laying flowers at a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev on the central square of the city.
Head of Sabirabad Region Executive Authority Nazim Ismayilov informed the President about the landscaping on the central square.
The square covers a total area of 8,500 square meters. The square has four fountains, a modern lighting system, trees, benches, as well as an administrative building of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party's Sabirabad regional branch.
Afterwards, the President opened a new administrative building of the Sabirabad Region Branch of the New Azerbaijan Party.
The construction of the facility started in May 2012. The three-storey building of Sabirabad Region Branch occupies a total space of 900 square meters. The facility is provided with advanced equipment. A bust to national leader, former President Heydar Aliyev was installed in the lobby of the building. The facility has a 60-seat meeting room, administrative rooms and a conference hall.
President Aliyev also visited a new building of the comprehensive school No.1 after Mirza Alakbar Sabir in Sabirabad.
The President was informed that all conditions had been created there. The 1,200-seat school occupies a total area of 9,415 square meters. A bust to Mirza Alakbar Sabir was erected in the courtyard. The four-storey school has 109 rooms, including 68 classrooms, a sports hall, a cafeteria, a 280-seat conference hall, and a sports ground.
The President attended the opening ceremony of the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Sabirabad region.
Prior to the opening ceremony, he was informed about the reconstruction work in the Heydar Aliyev Park. The park occupies a total area of 4 hectares. Suitable conditions have been created there for people to rest. The construction of the 5,200 square-meter Center started in November 2012.
The three-storey facility has an internet cafe, a dance studio, a conference hall, a 3D movie theater, a 330-seat auditorium, a drawing room, a chess room, an e-library, and a photo studio. A bust to Heydar Aliyev has been installed there.
During his visit to the region, President Aliyev opened the Hajigabul-Sabirabad section of the remodeled Hajigabul-Bahramtapa highway.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the President about the project on reconstruction of the highway.
The two-lane Hajigabul-Sabirabad section of the road is 50 km long and 15 meters wide.
President Aliyev was also informed about the 62.5 km-long Sabirabad-Bahramtapa section of the highway. The construction and installation of this section cost over 110 million manats. The construction and installation work on the Hajigabul-Sabirabad part of the highway will end in May 2014.
President Aliyev also attended the opening of a state-of-the-art greenhouse complex in Sabirabad.
The facility has an annual production capacity of 1.3 tons. The construction of the complex, which occupies a total area of 3.2 hectares, cost 2.6 million manats. The complex was built using Dutch, Italian and Turkish technologies. The facility has allowed to create 55 jobs.
Executive Director of the State Entrepreneurship Support National Fund under the Ministry of Economic Development, Shirzad Abdullayev, informed the President of vegetable production in the country. He said 1.2 million tons of vegetables were produced in 2012.
According to Abdullayev, last year the export of vegetables grew 4.7 times to 55,000 tons as compared to 2003. He said the government had allocated a total of 52.3 million manats in preferential loans for the construction and maintenance of 148 greenhouses. He added that the Fund had allocated 8.7 million manats in preferential loans to 261 local entrepreneurs in Sabirabad, which created 1,228 jobs.
The President met workers of the complex.
The head of state opened a new bridge built over the Kur River in the Sabirabad region as well.
Prior to the opening ceremony, President Aliyev met local residents.
The President was informed that the construction of the bridge started in July 2011. The project cost 8.9 million manats. The bridge links the city of Sabirabad with 16 villages of Shirvan and 3 villages of Kurdamir. The facility is 153 meters in length and 10.7 meters in width.
President Aliyev also visited the country`s Saatli region on August 29.

Head of Saatli region Executive Authority Siragaddin Jabbarov informed the President about the landscaping in the Heydar Aliyev Park. The park covers a total area of 5.6 hectares. All conditions have been created there for the recreation of residents.
The President attended the opening of the Garayevkand-Simadakand highway as part of his visit to Saatli. The head of state viewed photos reflecting the technical indicators of the road.
The 21km highway links 17 settlements with the total population of 44,000.
President Aliyev opened the Saatli Olympic Sports Complex.
The construction of the facility started in December 2011. Favorable conditions have been provided there for holding sports events. President Aliyev viewed a swimming pool at the complex.
The Saatli Olympic Sports Complex has five cottages, a 432-seat universal sports hall, an information center, a cafe, a gym, a conference hall, a wrestling hall, a 900-seat stadium, a tennis court, and a basketball court. The complex covers a total area of 6 hectares.
Then the Azerbaijani President met with local residents.
Khayal Ahmadov, who spoke on behalf of the local residents and sportsmen, thanked the President for his care and attention.
The President visited the Flag Square and Museum in Saatli.
The Flag Square occupies a total area of two hectares. The construction of the square began this May. The flag waves on an 82 m pole. The flag is 24m long and 12 m wide. There are four metal pedestals featuring the map and state emblem of Azerbaijan, as well as Heydar Aliyev`s words about the country`s state independence, and the text of the national anthem.
President Aliyev arrived in the country`s Agjabadi region on the same day. The President started his visit by paying tribute to a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in the city center.
Head of the Agjabadi region Executive Authority Shahin Mammadov informed the President about the landscaping on the Heydar Aliyev Square.
President Aliyev cut a ribbon to officially inaugurate the new administrative building of the Agjabadi regional branch of New Azerbaijan Party. The new building has ten offices, and conference and meeting rooms.
President Aliyev officially opened Agjabadi Region Central Hospital.
Before the opening of the hospital, the President spoke to local residents and medical workers.
Doctor Nurana Garibova thanked the head of state for his attention to the development of healthcare in the country.
Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev informed the President about the hospital.
The President also inaugurated Agjabadi Youth Center as part of his visit to the region.
The center has entertainment facilities, a bowling center and a cafe.
On August 29 President Aliyev also opened the Agat-Agro cattle breeding complex in the Agjabadi region.
The construction of the complex cost 21 million manats. The complex consists of eight farms, of which six are already operational.
