Switzerland keen to develop relations with Azerbaijan
Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ogtay Asadov met President of the Council of States of the Swiss Confederation Filippo Lombardi on July 2, Azertag state news agency reported on July 2.
Mr. Asadov praised the visit of Filippo Lombardi saying that it contributes to further developing of bilateral relations.
Highlighting the role of both countries` governments in developing the relations, he said that there was good legal framework for strengthening the cooperation.
Touching the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he said that Azerbaijan supports peaceful settlement of the problem on the basis of norms of international law.
Lombardi, in turn, said Switzerland is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Filippo Lombardi said his country was ready to support Azerbaijan on this issue.
