Baku to host meeting of TÜRKSOY leaders in mid-August
Baku will host a meeting of Heads of States of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) on August 15-16 to mark the organization's 20th anniversary, TÜRKSOY Secretary General Dyusen Kaseinov told Trend news agency.
According to him, the meeting will take place at the initiative of Azerbaijan.
Numerous events are expected to be held as part of celebrations.
Kaseinov said celebrations will also be held in Ankara on October 3 to mark the Cooperation Day of Turkic Countries.
In addition, the 100th anniversary of the Arshin mal alan operetta by great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov will be celebrated on September 17 at the heart of UNESCO in France in the framework of anniversary events.
