Greece`s former foreign minister, MP Dora Bakoyannis has said the South Caucasus Forum due to take place in Baku next month will play the role of a bridge between the East and the West.
The forum will be co-organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre and the Club of Madrid on May 6-8.
In a meeting with chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora Affairs Nazim Ibrahimov in Turkey, Bakoyannis said the forum would play a profound role in terms of developing the intercultural and interfaith dialogue.
The former minister, who was one of the active supporters of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during her presidency of the OSCE in 2009, will chair one of the panels of the South Caucasus Forum in Azerbaijan`s capital.
