A new internet education portal for schoolchildren, www.oxu.tv, has been presented in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.
Parliament members, Kaspi educational center's executives, Education and Youth and Sport Ministries' representatives as well as school and university principals attended the event.
During the presentation it was noted that oxu.tv is a national education project and a comprehensive internet television portal which was created with the Kaspi center's support. Education specialists, teachers and television employees worked on the project.
The project envisions broadcasting video lessons, which will cover all school subjects taught in Azerbaijani schools and prepared in line with the Education Ministry curriculum, for a large audience.
The project's main aim is to strengthen the basis of secondary education in Azerbaijan, broadening school students' opportunities to take classes on a high level. Moreover, the portal will pay special attention to informative leisure activities of youth.
The project, which is being implemented in the frame of the state program on the education system's informatization, will also inform the Azerbaijani population of the country's educational programs, projects and overall situation in the education system.
