Azerbaijani-Georgian strategic partnership to continue, top official says
The strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia will
continue in the future, Head of Azerbaijani Presidential
Administration's Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov told
media on Wednesday, Trend news agency reported.
He was commenting on Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's
two-day visit to Azerbaijan, which started on Wednesday.
"The current relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, this chosen
course directly meets the interest of peoples of the two countries
and reflects their interests," Hasanov said.
He noted that Bidzina Ivanishvili is meeting with the Azerbaijani
president and other officials.
"All aspects of the Azerbaijani-Georgian relations will be
discussed during these meetings with Ivanishvili as a new head of
the Georgian government," he said.
"The cooperation in the energy field, stipulating our strategic
partnership, joint participation in many international projects and
other integrative issues between Azerbaijan and Georgia will be
discussed as well," Hasanov said.
