Azerbaijani president visits Gusar region
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the country`s Gusar region on Thursday, Trend news agency reported.
The president attended the opening of the Urva-1 hydroelectric power station.
President Aliyev launched the facility.
Later, the Azerbaijani leader opened the Gusar-Anigh-Laza highway.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov informed the president about technical indicators of the highway.
The president cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the highway.
Later, President Aliyev, who was accompanied by his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, opened Zirve and Gaya hotels and viewed them.
Within the framework of the visit, the first stage of the Shahdag Winter and Summer Tourism Complex in Gusar region was commissioned.
President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the opening ceremony of this facility.
