Russia, U.S. discuss Karabakh conflict

A meeting was held between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Philip Gordon in Geneva on Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry's website reported.

The sides exchanged views regarding impact of the Georgian parliamentary elections on the situation in the South Caucasus region and Tbilisi's relations with neighboring states.

The meeting also discussed the development of relations of Russia and the U.S. with states of Transcaucasia and the situation around the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
