Azeri president opens reconstructed school in Baku on Knowledge Day
President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday inaugurated a newly
reconstructed school in Yasamal district of Baku, as Azerbaijan
marks the Knowledge Day when all schools and universities open
doors to students.
The president congratulated students and teachers of the school No
18.
President Aliyev toured the school. He was told that the facility
was built in 1966, and reconstructed this year.
The six-storied school has a 168-seat auditorium, a cafeteria, a
library and a reading room.
The president was told that there were 59 rooms, including 41
classrooms, in the school.
The school opened doors to 1700 pupils this year, who will be
taught by 157 teachers.
The president viewed the school`s gym.
Aliyev then visited Cudo-2012 sports complex near the school.
