Iran’s Kish Air to resume Tabriz-Baku flights soon

Iranian airline Kish Air will resume Tabriz-Baku flights after August, the company's representative in Azerbaijan, Eldeniz Safarov, told Trend news agency on Tuesday.

He said the flights were suspended over the certification process of aircraft.

"After this process is completed, flights will be resumed, which will take place after August. Flights will be carried out twice a week," Safarov said.

He added that Azerbaijan's state airline AzAL still carries out flights to Tabriz.

Direct flights between Baku and the Iranian city densely populated by Azerbaijanis are carried out by AzAL every Tuesday and Friday. A round-trip ticket costs at least 190 manats (around $240).

Kish Air was administering Tabriz-Baku-Tabriz flights on Saturdays on board Douglas aircraft. A ticket for a Kish Air flight was being sold for 159 manats (about $200).
