MP to meet Armenian clerical leader
Azerbaijani parliament member Ahad Abiyev will meet with
Armenian Catholicos Garegin II soon.
The release of two Azerbaijani citizens currently in Armenian
captivity - a serviceman and a civilian - will be tabled at the
meeting to take place in neighboring Georgia, Abiyev told
reporters.
The lawmaker said he had long known the Armenian cleric. "I have
been in touch with him since my youth. We got to know each other
during military service in Georgia's Akhalkalaki region. Garegin II
had a pig farm there at the time."
