Kangaroo-like cats found in Azerbaijan
BAKU – Two kangaroo-like cats have captured the attention of people spending their summer vacations in Lerik, southern Azerbaijan.
The twin kittens, who were born here 15 days ago, have front claws like those of kangaroos, therefore, they walk on their back legs and jump around like the marsupials.
A spokesman for the Lerik tourism center has said the kittens get plenty of food due to their attracting everyone’s attention. The little animals, who are fond of meat, jump up as soon as they smell it, and do not stay away from people.
The cats have been given a single name – "Mestan" ("Cutie"), and they rush to people as soon as they hear the word.
The tourism center has been frequented by visitors who have heard about the marvelous creatures and crave to take photos of the kittens.
