Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan strengthen strategic alliance [PHOTOS]
On the sidelines of the 2nd trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade/Economy and Transport of Azerbaijjan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, in Ankara, Azernews reports, citing a post share by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its X social network account.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed the political, economic, trade, energy, transport, and communication aspects of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan alliance. They also addressed regional and international security issues of mutual interest.
The agenda included frameworks for regional and international cooperation, including the Organization of Turkic States, the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Economic Cooperation Organization, and other multilateral formats. Minister Bayramov briefed his counterpart on peace efforts, existing challenges, and threats to the ongoing peace-building process in the region.
The ministers highlighted the importance of continued collaboration and underscored their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
