GUAM Secretary General sends letter of condolences to President Ilham Aliyev
Altai Efendiev, GUAM Secretary General, has sent President Ilham Aliyev a letter of condolences on the plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan.
According to Azernews, the letter reads:
His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Excellency,
We, the international staff of the Secretariat of the ODED-GUAM, are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking news of the tragic accident of the passenger airplane operated by the national carrier "Azerbaijan Airlines," which occurred on December 25, 2024, and caused many casualties.
On this sorrowful occasion of national mourning, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, wishes for a speedy recovery for those who survived, and feelings of solidarity and sympathies to the people and the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
