Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expresses condolences to President Ilham Aliyev
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a letter of condolences to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan.
According to Azernews, the letter reads:
His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Dear Ilham Heydar oglu,
It is with deep sorrow that I received the tragic news of the death of the passengers and crew of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan.
In sharing in the grief of this irreplaceable loss, I express my sincere condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the deceased, as well as to the entire people of Azerbaijan.
By my order, a state commission has been established under the Government of Kazakhstan, which is taking the necessary measures within the framework of the rescue operation and providing maximum assistance in saving lives and rehabilitating the surviving citizens.
I assure you that, in the spirit of friendship and brotherhood, Kazakhstan will provide comprehensive support to Azerbaijan in helping the victims and ensuring their safe return home, as well as in the process of determining all the circumstances of this incident.
