Fines for violating space activity laws approved in Azerbaijan
The Milli Majlis has approved a draft article in the first reading, introducing fines for violations of legislation related to space activities, Azernews reports.
The new article, proposed as an addition to the Code of Administrative Offenses, outlines penalties for various infractions, including:
- Failing to notify the national space operator before acquiring property rights over a space object outside Azerbaijan.
- Not informing the operator about the decommissioning of a registered space object.
- Neglecting to notify the operator within 30 days of ordering a space object produced abroad.
The fines range from 1,500 to 2,000 manats for individuals, 2,500 to 3,000 manats for officials, and 4,000 to 5,000 manats for legal entities.
The draft was voted on and adopted in its first reading during today’s plenary session.
