Film on Atabeg dynasty premiered in Heydar Aliyev Center [PHOTOS]
A feature-documentary film "The Atabegs of Azerbaijan" has premiered in Heydar Aliyev Center, Azernews reports.
The film was produced in collaboration with Azerbaijani television (AzTV), Shahdagfilm, and Turkish production companies İkinciYeni Film, Patik Prodüksiyon, and Ernet Grup.
The official partners of the project are the Azerbaijan Culture Ministry and the Azerbaijan Cinema Agency.
The film premiere was attended by official guests, the film's creative team, representatives of the arts, and many others, including the head of the production company Ernet Grup Eray Ucuzal, the lead actor, a master of sports, and a famous kickboxer Zabit Samadov, well-known TV presenter Jala Hasanli, who played the role of Zubeyda Khatun.
The film tells the stories of two outstanding historical figures of the Turkic world, courageous commanders Gara Sungur and Shamsaddin Eldaniz, who lived during the Middle Ages and are the founders of the state of Atabegs.
The film's director is Mecit Güven, and the screenwriters are Sarvar Bayramov, Ilgar Mehdi, Sahavat Sahil, and Ercan Kaya.
The producers are Ilgar Mehdi, Sarvar Bayramov, and Furkan Baslı, representing the Turkish company İkinciYeni Film, and the art director is Zafar Malkoch.
In the feature documentary film, which recreates the most vivid periods of Azerbaijan's medieval history, world-renowned fighter Zabit Samadov appears as Shamsaddin Eldaniz and Ilgar Mehdi portrays Gara Sungur.
The film cast includes People's Artist Mehriban Zeki (Momina Khatun), Honored Artist Bakhruz Vagifoglu (Muhammad Jahan Pehlavan), Jala Hasanli (Zubeyda Khatun), Gunay Ahmad (Lachin), Tural Ahmad (Arslan Shah), Ilgar Musayev (Jandar Chavly), Semimi Farhad (Vizier Al-Khazni), Samir Gulamov (Ganja Bay), Salam Ismailov (Sheikh Imad), Turkay Jafarli (Sheikh Imad's assistant), Rashad Kesemenli (commander), Hidayat Aliyev (Sultan Masud), etc.
More than 100 actors participated in the film, and in total, over 500 people were involved in the crew.
The film will be released in cinema theaters on December 5.
