Azerbaijani Minister of Emergencies, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, received a delegation led by the Chairman of the National Emergency Management Agency of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Lieutenant-General Inam Heydar Malik, who is paying a visit to Azerbaijan within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

Azernews reports referring to the information provided by minister Kamaladdin Heydarov, that the participation of the delegation of the National Emergency Management Agency of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at COP29 successfully held in Baku as the next historical success of our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is commendable.

Emphasizing that the relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are historically based on the principles of unbreakable friendship and brotherhood and mutual respect, the minister spoke about the mutual benefit of expanding relations between the two countries' organizations responsible for fighting emergency situations. He noted that the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in the field of preventing, limiting and reducing the consequences of emergency situations" signed in Islamabad on January 13, 2021, gave an important impetus to the development of relations, and about the activities of the institution he heads. gave detailed information.
