Pakistan's newspaper publishes article on Azerbaijan's Victory Day
Pakistan Observer, a prestigious Pakistani newspaper, has published an extensive article on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of Azerbaijan's Victory Day. Azernews reports that the article included a speech by the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov. In his speech, the ambassador emphasized the Azerbaijani-Pakistani brotherhood and noted that Pakistan stood by Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War as both a friend and a brotherly country.
"Pakistan has consistently honoured its friendship with Azerbaijan to the extent of refusing diplomatic relations with Armenia due to the occupation of the Azerbaijan lands," the Ambassador said.
The territories of Azerbaijan have been under occupation by Armenian military units for 30 years. In September 2020, war broke out as a result of Armenia's provocative attacks. As a result of the 44-day war, Armenian military forces were partially withdrawn from Azerbaijani territories. At the same time, on November 8, Azerbaijan liberated the city of Shusha, the cradle of culture, from occupation.
