The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan organized an official reception on the anniversary of Victory Day, Azernews reports, citing the information released by the Embassy.

According to the release, Pakistan's Minister of Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, attended the reception as the chief guest. Members of parliament, foreign diplomats operating in Islamabad, representatives of various business organizations, civil and military officials, journalists, and Azerbaijani citizens living in Pakistan also participated in the event.

After the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Pakistan were played, Khazar Farhadov, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan, pointed out that November 8 is celebrated as Victory Day in Azerbaijan every year. Emphasizing the cordial bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, he pointed out that Baku is prepared to host COP29 soon and this event is expected to gather thousands of guests from around the world.

Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister of Housing Construction and Works of Pakistan, who was the chief guest at the reception, congratulated the government and people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Victory Day. He expressed with confidence that Azerbaijan and Pakistan are two brotherly countries, and relations between these two countries in all areas will continue to develop in an upward direction.

At the event, videos depicting the historical Victory of Azerbaijan and the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in our territories freed from occupation were presented to the participants of the event.
