Azerbaijan, Iraq explore prospects for bilateral cooperation
Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, Azernew reports.
During the telephone conversation, the sides discussed the current situation in the Middle East, the growing tension in the region, as well as the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein highlighted the latest developments in the region, adding that the extension of the conflict poses a serious concern.
FM Bayramov provided insight into the final preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to take place in Azerbaijan a few days later.
The parties touched upon the prospects for cooperation.
The meeting also featured discussions on other matters of mutual interest.
