The supply of green energy from the Caucasus region to Europe is crucial for the European Union (EU), described by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as a "mega European project," Azernews reports.

Speaking at a press conference following his meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Tbilisi, Orban emphasized the collaborative efforts between Azerbaijan, Romania, and Hungary to advance the green energy supply initiative.

"Azerbaijan, Romania and Hungary are actively working on the green energy supply project from the Caucasus region to the European Union (EU). I hope that this will be one of the most successful projects in the EU," Viktor Orban added.

It should be noted that on December 17, 2022, the "Agreement on strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary" was signed in Bucharest.
