On September 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the city of Kalbajar to inspect the construction of a residential complex that will provide housing for 524 families, Azernews reports.

The President and First Lady were briefed on the project details. The complex covers a total area of 19.5 hectares. During the first phase, 201 families will be relocated to six newly constructed four-story buildings, each containing 27 apartments. The apartments are divided into 54 two-room, 72 three-room, and 36 four-room units.

The President and First Lady also viewed the completed apartments. In addition, 39 two-story "townhouse" style homes, each with three rooms, have been built within the complex.

In the second phase, 323 more families will be accommodated. For this, 16 additional four-story apartment buildings and 57 more two-story "townhouse" style homes will be constructed.

The complex is kitted out with all necessary facilities for a comfortable lifestyle, including parks, recreation areas, social and service facilities, parking spaces, bicycle paths, children's playgrounds, and sports fields. Landscaping and beautification work is also underway.
