COP29 not to affect games of Azerbaijan Premier League

The COP29 event, which will be held in Baku this November, will not affect the matches of the Azerbaijan Premier League, Azernews reports, citing Elgiz Abbasov, the Acting President of the Professional Football League (PFL), as he stated this during his speech at the Premier League draw ceremony.
The PFL official mentioned that no football competitions will be held in the country during that period: "This issue has been under discussion since last season. During COP29, matches of the First League, Second League, Reserve League, and the Azerbaijan Cup will not take place. As for the Premier League, there will be a break in the championship due to national team matches. In short, COP29 will have no impact on the Azerbaijan Premier League. All these details will be reflected in the calendar."
It should be noted that the COP29 event will be held from November 11 to 22.
