New Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan appointed
By the decree of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Abdurahmon Ilhom Barotzoda has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, Azernews reports.
The new appointment took place in connection with the retirement of the former Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan and Georgia, Rustam Soli.
Note that Azerbaijan was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Tajikistan on May 29, 1992.
At present, bilateral cooperation is at a high level and is based on the principles set forth in the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.
