Bavaria keen on multi-lateral co-op with Azerbaijan
Bavaria is interested in deepening its cooperation with Azerbaijan
in a slew of fields including economics, education, the
construction sector, and technologies, the German province’s
Economics Minister, Emilia Muller, has said, according to
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
In a meeting with Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku on Thursday, she stressed vast potential to develop bilateral relations.
Mammadyarov, for his part, emphasized the importance of implementing specific projects to broaden ties.
Touching on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Upper (Nagorno) Garabagh, the Azerbaijani minister termed as unacceptable maintaining the status quo in the conflict, given the Armenian occupation of a part of Azerbaijan’s territory. Mammadyarov reiterated Baku’s intransigent stance, saying the long-standing dispute must be settled strictly within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, in line with the norms of international law.*
