Armenians destroyed all the historical and religious items in the Khudavang monastery in Kalbajar district after its appropriation in 1993 and took historical books, icons and other Christian religious values from Azerbaijan to Echmiadzin in Armenia, Deputy Chairman of Albano-Udi Orthodox community, Preacher of the monastery Rafig Danakari told Trend.

"Our trip to the monastery was timed to coincide with the great Christian holiday, which was celebrated on the 4th of December. Despite all the obstacles, we prayed and lit candles, and also took pictures,” Danakari said.

“There are about 400 Albanian churches in Azerbaijan, which we will definitely visit. There are also Albanian churches in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, more than 300 of them in the Karabakh region. We will visit each of them separately,” said Danakari.
