Kazakhstan appoints new envoy
Kazakhstan has appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, the Kazakh President's press service said.
Serik Primbetov, 59, graduated from the Almaty Institute of National Economy and is a PhD candidate of economic sciences. Prior to his new appointment, he chaired the executive committee of the intergovernmental council representing Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Former Kazakh ambassador Andar Shukputov left Baku in the fall of 2007 due to his appointment to another government post.
