Ilham Aliyev decrees to extend health insurance coverage in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to expand the coverage of a pilot project as part of compulsory health insurance introduction.
In accordance with the decree, the pilot project on compulsory health insurance will be applied in the administrative territory of the Agdash district, and will be further applied in the administrative territories of the Yevlakh district and Mingachevir city.
The State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance will receive 1.56 million manats and 16.76 million manats from the state budget for 2018 for implementation of the pilot project on compulsory health insurance in the administrative territories of Mingachevir city, Yevlakh and Agdash districts.
