Customs revenues of Azerbaijan's state budget jumps up

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee transferred over 1.95 billion manats to the state budget in January-September 2017 that is by 18 percent more than in the same period of 2016, reads the Committee’s report.
The Committee transferred more than 243 million manats to the budget in September 2017. Revenues from customs duties amounted to nearly 56.2 million manats, revenues from value added tax (VAT) hit 176.3 million manats, revenues from excise duty amounted to 7.8 million manats, and revenues from highway-user tax were 3.4 million manats in September.
Revenues from the customs duties decreased by 1.4 percent in September 2017 compared to September 2016. Revenues from VAT rose by nearly 10 percent, while revenues from excise duty decreased by 1.9 percent and revenues from highway-user tax increased by 41.7 percent.
The forecast on customs revenues of Azerbaijan’s state budget is 2.205 billion manats for 2017.
