G-122 and G-124 patrol ships of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces departed for Iran on a friendly visit on October 3, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.

In Iran, Azerbaijani navy personnel will meet with Iran's naval command in the Caspian Sea zone, visit the naval base in Enzeli and participate in a number of other events until October 7.

The visit is organized in accordance with the agreement on military cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Iran.

The Azerbaijani Army, which today is considered the most modern army in the Caucasus, consists of Air Force and Air Defense Forces, the Navy, and the Land Forces.

The skills and combat readiness of the Azerbaijani army are growing year by year, as the country’s Armed Forces regularly conduct military exercises. The Azerbaijani army is supplied with modern weapons and technical equipment for maintaining a high level of combat capability.
