Spring comes to Azerbaijan

Each season brings a beauty of its own, while with spring comes the beautiful flowers and plants.

March marks the start of spring in Azerbaijan, and features rapidly rising temperatures. The weather turns pleasant during the day, but the nights are still a little chilly and there is the occasional rain shower.

The weather at this time is pleasant, especially for walking around Baku’s beautiful heritage sites. After the cold winter, the city wakes up from its winter sleep and starts receiving more and more tourists.

After the chill of winter, the entire country warms up with colorful festivals, especially Novruz, events and performances in spring.

This March average monthly temperature is expected to be nigh to the climatic norm along with a small positive margin, according to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Rainfalls are forecasted to be close to the climatic norm, while a little more than norm in some regions.

In Baku and Absheron peninsula, temperature is predicted to be +6-10˚C which is close to the climatic norm. At nights the temperature will be +6-11˚C.In the afternoons the temperature will be +11-16˚C, +19-24˚C will be in some days. The monthly precipitation will be close to the climatic norm (20-27mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

Spring is the very time to visit the picturesque regions of Azerbaijan that are covered in silky grass, subtle leaves, and fragile blossoms.

The Hydrometeorology Department also forecast pleasant temperatures in the country’s regions.

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +7-11˚C in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic,.At nights the temperature will be +3-8˚C.In the afternoons the temperature will be +5-10˚C, but will rise up to +18-23˚C in some days.Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 22-44 mm).

In Upper Karabakh: Khankandi, Shusha, Khojali, Khocavand; Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Kalbajar and Dashkasan, Gadabay regions,temperature predicted to be +4-8˚C which is nigh to the climatic norm. At nights the temperature will be +2-7˚C, 0-5 degrees of frost in some days. In the afternoons temperature will be +7-12˚C, and will be +17-22˚C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 42-52 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

As for Gazakh-Ganja, Goranboy, Tar-Tar-Agdam-Agjabadi-Fuzuli-Jabrail regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +7-12˚C which is close to the climatic norm.

In Balakan, Zagatala, Qakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, İsmailly, Agsu, Shamakhy, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions, temperature is predicted to be +6-10˚C which is close to the climatic norm.At nights the temperature will be +3-8˚C, in several places will be from 0- 5 degrees of frost.

In the afternoons temperature will be from +8-13˚C, will be+19-24˚C in some days in the second and third decade. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 23-90 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

The temperature is predicted to be +9-12˚C in Central-Aran: Agdash, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, İmishli, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajıgabul, Salyan, Neftchala regions.

In Masallı-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik, Yardimli regions, monthly temperature is predicted to be +7-11˚C which is close to the climatic norm.At nights the temperature will be +5-10˚C, while 0-3 degrees of frost in some days.

In the afternoons the temperature will be from +11-16˚C, will rise up to +21-26˚C in some days.Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 56-112 mm).
