Russian small missile ship arrives in Baku [PHOTO]
Russian small missile ship “Uglich” under the leadership of Commander of the Caspian flotilla, Rear Admiral Sergey Pinchuk has today arrived in Baku, Azertac reported.
The delegation first visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
They also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The Russian delegation then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani martyrs who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
A delegation led by Commander of the Caspian flotilla, Rear Admiral Sergey Pinchuk then met with acting Command of the Naval Forces of Azerbaijan, Captain 1st rank Hijran Rustamzade.
The Russian delegation is also expected to attend the “ADEX-2016” Azerbaijan International Defense Industry Exhibition.
The visit will last till September 30.
