Azerbaijan and Armenia to return to discussions on peace agreement text in December, says Hajiyev
Azerbaijan and Armenia will return to discussions on the text of the peace agreement next month, Azernews reports, citing Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs at the Presidential Administration, as he said during an interview with TASS.
He noted that the main focus for Azerbaijan until the end of November is COP29: "It is possible that starting from December, a new process will begin regarding the discussion of the peace agreement text and the continuation of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
Hajiyev added that there are certain questions regarding the text of the document:
"The Armenian side has not responded in time to our proposals regarding the peace agreement text, which is why discussions and negotiations are ongoing at the expert level. As a result, there is a sense that the process is currently delayed. Most likely, starting from December, a new phase of the process will begin."
