The development of the healthcare sector in Azerbaijan is one of the priority directions of state policy, Health Minister Teymur Musayev said.

He made the remarks during the opening ceremony on Azerbaijan international medical innovations Medinex and Beauty Azerbaijani exhibitions at the Baku Expo Center on November 3.

“Today’s exhibition is another positive event which is a continuation of the events which have been held for more than thirty years. From this point of view, as the Health Ministry, we highly appreciate the organization of exhibitions, which give the opportunity to acquaint the medical community with innovative products, allow specialists to follow the modern trends and apply scientific and technological achievements,” he said.

Azerbaijan’s Health Minister Teymur Musayev, Parliament’s Health Committee Chairman Ahliman Amiraslanov, State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance Chairman Zaur Aliyev, TABIB’s Executive Director Vugar Qurbanov and Caspian Event Organisers General-Director Farid Mammadov were among the speakers at the opening ceremony.

Medinex is a business platform uniting healthcare professionals. Leading domestic and foreign manufacturers and distributors present their innovations and services at the exhibition, which will help improve the work of the country's clinics and increase the efficiency of treatment.

The exhibition brings together over 90 companies from 12 countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Slovenia, Turkiye, Japan, Algeria, and other countries.

This year, Medinex is being held with the active participation and support of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance and TABIB. The organizer of the exhibitions is Caspian Event Organisers. The exhibitions will continue until November 5.
