Law on Medince to be changed

Azerbaijan plans to make amendments to the law "On medicine".
This issue was discussed at a meeting of the parliamentary
committee on health.
In accordance with the current legislation, products produced in
Azerbaijan and imported into the country are certified by the
relevant executive authority in accordance with the procedure
established by relevant legislation.
Under the proposed change, medicinal products will be certified by an accredited body (or structures) of the relevant executive authority that assesses compliance in accordance with the procedure established by law.
Chairman of the Committee Ahliman Amiraslanov said that this amendment was made to bring this law into line with the law "On accreditation in the field of conformity assessment".
The draft law is recommended for discussion at the plenary session of the Parliament.
