On November 6, the premiere of the film "Old Suitcases" (Köhnə Çamadanlar), dubbed in Turkish, will take place at the "CSO Ada" center in Ankara, Azernews reports, citing AZERTAC.
The screening of this film is dedicated to the heroes of the First and Second Garabagh Wars and marks the fourth anniversary of Azerbaijan's Victory Day. The event is supported by Turkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ankara's Gazi University, the Altındağ district municipality, and several public organizations and institutions of the brotherly country.
The film's screenplay is based on real events and reflects the heroism of Azerbaijani warriors who fought against Armenian invaders.
The filmmakers—director Saida Haqverdiyeva, screenwriter Sevda Sultanova, director of photography Shahmar Safaroglu, and others—aim to convey the tragic atmosphere of the war, including the horrors of the Khojaly genocide.
“Old Suitcases” was completed in 2021 and was produced with the support of the DOST Agency under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
Before the premiere, an exhibition titled "Women, Peace, Victory" will be held.
