The Baku City Main Department of Culture and Tourism has announced about launch of a new project "Retro Baku", Trend Life reported.
The first concerts in the framework of the project took place at Fountains Square in Baku on July 9-10.
The event featured the performance of national dance groups, including "Lalələr", Palace of culture of Mardakan, Russian folklore ensemble "Play, accordion", the jazz ensemble of eleven-year music school No.25 named after R. Behbudov, dance crew "Səma" as well as guitar ensemble.
During the two-hour concert program, the audience enjoyed the music and rousing dance performances.
The main aim of the project is to ensure colorful and interesting leisure time of residents and guests of Baku, and to revive the tradition of holding such kind of concerts, which took place in Baku in the 60's- 70's of the last century.
The following concert program will took place on July 16-17.
